Reach for the Ceiling!

Posted by: Laura Lee Clark-Falconer
We've talked about the visual power of a beautiful floor, but let's not forget the thrill of just the right ceiling design.  There are so many wonderful ways to go, and an inspired ceiling never disappoints.  At Laura Lee Clark Interior Design, we are delighted to have been chosen to design and deliver some really special ones.  A gorgeous ceiling can be infinitely detailed or profoundly simple...and still reach elegant heights.

We always give very special attention to ceilings.  The sheer expanse of them requires that special attention is given to ensure the desired end result.   Whether highly textural, extremely polished or anywhere in between, it's important that you end up with a ceiling you and your family simply love for each room of your home.  And it can be a highly inspired palette on which to work.  And it pays off in wonderfully visual rewards.

Often, ceilings can be an afterthought.  Well, not at Laura Lee Clark Interior Design.  It's one of those things that you immediately notice if it has NOT received professional forethought.  And it requires a well rounded approach to deliver the proper impact.  For example, one must consider how light and shadow are distributed in the room, and how the design impacts scale, and the overall visual conclusion.  Quite frankly, we love the process of bringing you the perfect design.

From these few pictures shown (and of course there are many other choices),  you can quickly see now how important attention to this detail can be.  And how gorgeous if done properly.  A beautifully designed ceiling is one very important step to pulling everything together into an inspired whole.  It has a profound impact on your furnishings, artwork and flooring.   And at Laura Lee Clark Interior Design, we simply love the entire process.  So make sure you never compromise until you get just the right ceiling of your dreams.  We believe it's a very important Objet Petit a!

Enjoy!

Best regards,

Laura Lee Clark
